Online Contractor Referral Services |
Most homeowners aren't familiar with how online contractor referral services make their money. This is how it works, you visit their website, fill out all of the necessary information and they usually send you between one and four contractors that are interested in your business. You don't pay anything, but each contractor usually pays between $10-$500 per lead, depending upon the size of the job. The last time I checked, a bathroom remodeling lead cost $65 at one company, but some contractor referral services charge hundreds of dollars per construction lead to their contractors. As a homeowner using these services, you end up paying for these services in the long run. The contractor passes these business expenses on to their customers. Most online contractor referral services don't really want you to know how they make their money, it's just not good for business. Online contractor referral services are more interested in making money than prescreening their contractors. At one time, I signed up for two online contractor referral service companies. Both of their main requirements was that I had a contractor's license and liability insurance. That's about all of the prescreening that I had to go through. If you can't find someone on our Home Improvement Contractors Directory and you've tried to find a contractor in your area, but things aren't working out like you hoped it would, feel free to use any one of these online contractor referral services that are listed on our website. These companies are only listed on the Home Improvement Contractors Directory for people who don't have enough time to look for a good contractor or have already tried.
